Heatherlee Chan is a watercolor artist and illustrator living in Southern California with her family.
She sells her art in her shop and shares her process on Instagram. Her work has been licensed on greeting cards, wall art, stationery, fabric, and flags. She illustrated Scholastic's first watercolor coloring book by Klutz called Watercolor Crush.
Heatherlee is best known for her colorful paintings of friendship, florals, femininity, and hand-drawn typography.
She is just an old fashioned girl that cannot get enough of books, flowers, vast skies, old houses with attics, butterflies, and girly dresses.
Her childhood was spent with her nose in a book adoring heroines with spirit. Because of that first love, she likes to paint pictures that tell a story.
It took a long time for her to realize that by painting what brings her joy she can make others happy as well. She loves to paint a world where romance, tenderness, joy, and gratitude shine through.
She once thought that she was alone in her imaginings and thoughts, but has discovered by painting and writing that there are others that think and feel the same as she does.
